Featured Family Form
- CCGS is currently working to re-enumerate and photograph all
Choctaw County Cemeteries and provide the information free
online to both OKCHOCTA and findagrave.com.
Veteran Project - our Veteran project is twofold.
First, CCGS is identifying and researching Choctaw County Veterans to be added to the online Veteran Tribute. Secondly, CCGS has teamed up with the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial located in Paris, Texas to help identify Choctaw County Veterans to be added to the memorial in honor of their service and sacrifice.
Choctaw County Records - CCGS is also working in conjunction with the Choctaw County OKGenWeb (OKCHOCTA) to provide Choctaw County records online for free.
CCGS operates solely on donations and volunteers. We gladly accept donations both monetary and non-monetary. If you have genealogical and/or history related books or materials, bibles, personal ledgers, old photographs, documents, old phone books, newspapers, obituaries, memorial folders, postcards, etc, we will gladly add them to our research library for preservation. CCGS wants to aid you in your all aspects of your research. (Not just Choctaw County). To do this we have created a side menu of online Research Resources resulting in a 'Genealogy Toolbox'. This toolbox is designed to provide you with links to genealogy resources in one easy to find place. These links are not by any means the only resources out there. Links to additional resources and categories will be added as we come across them. If you know of additional resources (world wide) or your favorite resources or categories are not currently listed, send us the link and we will add it. We work hard to ensure there are no broken links; however should you come across one please let us know.
