Location of Ervin community

The Ervin community was located southeast of Hugo on Fallon Road. There are 3 maps available on the county genweb site that are helpful in locating the community.

http://www.okgenweb.org/~okchocta/towns.htm will give you a general idea where Ervin was located.

The map at http://www.okgenweb.org/~okchocta/maps/ ... 3xCol6.gif shows the exact location as indicated on a 1930 county map.

On the modern day map at http://www.okgenweb.org/~okchocta/count ... _17-18.gif Ervin would be located at the intersection of section lines 2110 & 4290.

Will try this again. Many, many thanks for the information. I am having a bit of a time trying to figure out how to do some of this stuff but am stumbling through it somewhat. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me as now I know where Ervin is and also how to find other stuff on the maps. Also found the marriage license for my gm and gf and please pass to JoLynn Self my gratitude. She even indexed them and had pictures which made things easy and come to life. It takes unbelieveable dedication to compile this information and then make it available so all of you there get a great big Sierra Hotel and a Yee Ha from the old Sarge.
