I am looking for information regarding an accident that happened around 1917 on the banks of Hickory Creek near Enville. My grandfather and his two older brothers were gathering wood when their team was spooked and ran away. Marvin Brown, the oldest of the three boys, tried to stop the team and was killed when they pulled the wagon between two trees. It's possible Marvin is buried near the spot where the accident occurred. My dad said he remembered my grandfather showing him the trees in the late 1930's and the scars from the accident were still there. If anyone has any additional information--especially the date and exact location, or knows of a newspaper write up about this accident, I would appreciate the info.
Thanks,
Rhonda Brown
