Fort Towson's Representative Town Builders
Not Boomers, But Wide Awake Citizens
Who are in Line for Progress and Prosperity
The Ft Towson Enterprise August 11, 1905 -
transcribed & contributed by Ron Henson
Bond & House
The firm of Bond & House purchased the interest of J.H. Agerton's general merchandise store July 7th of last month and are conducting a strictly cash business. They buy and sell country produce.
E.B. Bond was for twelve years bookkeeper and cashier for Wm. Cameron & Co., Inc., of Saron, Texas.
C.M. House was for seven years salesman in their store and later salesman for Walker County Lumber co., at Elmira, Texas. These gentlemen have bought a lot, build a nice residence, intend to make Fort Towson their future home and will at all times do their part toward the advancement of the town.
Both are clever gentlemen and excellent citizens, and being up-to-date in business qualifications, will realize much prosperity in the coming commercial center of the Choctaw Nation.
