FIVE STORY OFFICE AND STORE STRUCTURE AT COST OF
To be Put up by J.J. Terry, Enterprising Citizen of Hugo - First Building Modern in Every Particular

    Unless the plans of J.J. Terry of this city, known far and wide for his enterprising spirit, miscarries, a five story office building will be added to Hugo’s numerous commercial structures within a comparatively short time.
    While Mr. Terry has had the idea in his head for some time past, it was not till yesterday that he would allow any announcement whatever to be made concerning his plans. He is one of those men who does not like to disappoint their friends, and he is averse to starting something he will likely not be able to finish.
    The exact location of the structure is not determined as yet, though it is known that it will be in the heart of the business section. It will be for offices, contain a store room or so on the first floor and one the larger chambers ill be arranged suitably for a bank.
    "Modern in every particular" expresses it. Five stories besides the basement will include the building’s available space. The matter of its being built has been sufficiently assured to attract prospective renters and already a number of the office rooms have been spoken for.
    The entire building will be heated with steam, an elevator will run from the basement to the fifth floor, and, the whole thing will be arranged in keeping with these conveniences. The first floor will be of marble and tile, and the others of the finest hard wood. The walls of the building will be made of re-enforced concrete, and the front, beautifully finished in marble, with recessed entrance.
    The architectural work will be done by J.F. Schallenberger, son of F.E. Schallenberger of the Schallenberger Construction company, who will construct the Terry building at a cost of $100,000.00
