Resolution of Respect
The Hugo Husonian February 27, 1908 - transcribed by Ron Henson

WHEREAS,
    Upon the 21st day of Feb. 1908 The Almighty; in His omnipotent wisdom saw fit to remove from midst our fellow townsman; esteemed co-laborer and friend, Joel Spring, and,
WHEREAS,
    The deceased was a worthy and highly respected citizen of this county and one whose life was continuous deeds of charity that bespoke his greatness of heart,
WHEREAS,
    In all the work that has been done to make this city what it is and in all matters of improvement of and material development, he has been one of the important factors, therefore be it,
RESOLVED
    That we deplore the death of Joel Spring and that we feel that not only has the city lost a friend but that his loss is irreparable,
RESOLVED,
    That this Board tender it's heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased in this, their hour of affliction.
RESOLVED,
    That these resolutions bespread upon the minutes of this Board and that a copy be sent to the family of the deceased and a copy be furnished to the press of the city for publication.
