The C.A. Edens Have 67th Anniversary Fete

    Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Eden of Hugo and formerly of Pushmataha county celebrated their sixty-seventh Wedding Anniversary Saturday, August 5, in their home at 710 Southeast Foster in Hugo. This was also the ninety-first birthday of Mr. Eden. He was born in Missouri on August 5, 1881. Mrs. Eden was born in Arkansas, January 25, 1890.

    The couple were married August 4, 1905 at Paris, Texas. They moved to Oklahoma in 1909 and made their home in the Oleta and Spencerville area until moving to Hugo eighteen years ago. He is a retired farmer. They are members of the Baptist church.

    Children of the couple attending the celebration were Ezra Rye of Kingston, Gladys Sossomon and Geneva Morgan of Houston, Texas, Fred Eden of Antlers, Halamae Haneline of Irving, Texas, and Ann Roger of Pearland, Texas. Those unable to attend were Jack Eden of Houston and Calvin Eden of Vicksburg, Mich.

    The Edens have fifty-seven grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren making a total of one hundred eleven descendents. Fifty-three relatives including the children and their spouses, and friends attended the event.
