Located in Section 29 Township 6 South and Range 17 East Choctaw County Oklahoma at 33.59.53 North and 95.29.44 West. The entrance to the cemetery is at 8th Street & Trice; 3 blocks north of the junction of US 70 and 8th Street. Good access with paved roads throughout the cemetery. Cemetery maintenance is excellent. The oldest recorded burial on a headstone is 1904. Mount Olivet has also been called Burgoyne Cemetery. 
     These records are taken from the headstones in the cemetery. If there is no headstone then there will be no record. There are many unmarked graves that only the cemetery has record of. If you're relatively sure the person you're looking for is buried in Mount Olivet and the name isn't listed here then you should contact the staff at the cemetery.      I have numbered all rows from West to East within their blocks except for blocks 10 and Baby Land which are numbered outward from their central sidewalks. This is my numbering system for rows -- not the cemetery's. 
     Often a family plot is marked with a single headstone bearing the family name and numerous footstones marking the individuals buried in the group. These footstones are counted in the row of the headstone unless they are clearly in another row.
     Section 2 is divided into 2 blocks, 2 Upper and 2 Lower. I indicate them as 2U and 2L. In much the same way there are two Block 16's, 16 East and 16 Circus. They are indicated as 16E and 16C.
     The Darrough Section is divided into 3 blocks; North Darrough, Middle Darrough and South Darrough. As there is no clear dividing line between the 3 blocks, I list these burials as either Darrough North (DN) or Darrough South (DS) -- using the central monument as the dividing line.

There are 3 burials prior to 1907.
The first is Alice Astin Messer, daughter of C.G. & Juliette Messer who died 6-30-1904.
The next is Sidney Nease who died 8-10-1906 and the third is an infant Nease who died 12-9-1906.
