Richard Berlin Bookout

Funeral services for Richard Berlin Bookout of Hugo were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Hugo, with Reverend Doug McClure officiating. Interment was in Ft. Towson Cemetery.
Mr. Bookout died Thursday, September 30, 2004, in Hugo. He was 20.
Richard Berlin Bookout was born on September 25, 1984 in Paris, Texas to Steve and Gloria (Walker) Bookout. Richard had lived in this area all of his life and was self-employed as an auto body repairman. He loved cars, liked to tinker with everything, he was a good friend to all, especially the "Vroom Vroom Club," he was a wonderful son and uncle and he will always be "our baby brother." If there ever was a small town celebrity, Richard was it. He will truly be missed by all that knew & loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Bookout on February 16, 2000.
He is survived by his father, Steve and step-mom Gail Bookout of Hugo; two brothers, B.J. Perez and wife, Cami of Delaware, Okla., and Travis Smith of the home; two sisters, Stephanie Gordon and husband, Gray of Temple, Texas, and Gretta Bookout of Corpus Christi, Texas; his grandmother, Margaret Bookout of Hugo; one niece, Ellie Perez of Delaware, Okla., and two nephews, Tyler and Walker Gordon of Temple, Texas.
