Richard B. Beasley

Richard B. Beasley, age 46, of Antlers passed away on October 9, 2005 in Antlers. He was born on March 29, 1959 in Hobbs, NM to Elvis Sr. and Bobbie Beasley. He had lived in Antlers for the past thirty-six years.

Richard was of the Baptist faith. He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture as a livestock inspector for many years. Richard was a loving husband, father, and son. Richard loved life and being involved in all life had to offer. He cherished his family and spending time with his children and grandkids. Pubby "Pa Pa" as they called him, loved seeing them grow and learn the things he loved. He spent time talking to them and listening to what they had to say. Each day brought new adventures and excitement for Richard as well as the kids.He instilled in his children his love for life. He taught his son the joy of the outdoors. Hunting and fishing and talking guns were a daily pastime. He spent many hours doing the things he loved most, telling stories about life - instilling in his children, foster children, and grandkids the values of family and friends.

Richard was blessed with a lifetime of friends. He was blessed with the gift of gab and never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him loved him. He will be missed.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Elvis Beasley Sr., brothers, William Bryant Beasley and Elvis DeWayne Beasley Jr., and granddaughter, Brooklyn Gail Beasley; grandparents, William I. and Essie Cambell, Bo Bryant and Ida Mae Beasley, He is survived by his wife, Kathy Beasley of the home; son, Brandon Joshua Beasley and wife April of Antlers; daughter, Kayla Diane Beasley Bond and husband Michael of Moyers; mother, Bobbie Beasley of Antlers; brother Rodney Beasley of Abilene, TX; sister, Linda Dunn of Hobbs, NM; sister, Rhonda Beasley of Antlers; grandchildren, Andrew Hopson Beasley, Tristen Joshua Beasley, Brandyce Paige Beasley and Sonya Lynn Bond.

Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Kent Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Bryant and Bro. Tim Harless officiating. Interment was in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Mills-Coffey Funeral Home, Antlers.
