    Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. C.O. Fairchild, resident of the Forney community Friday afternoon.
    Mrs. Fairchild died at her home early Friday morning after an illness of over a year, according to information to the Daily News.
    Funeral services were held at the Snow funeral home chappel [sic], with Reverend Hart officiating. Immediately thereafter interment took place in the Soper cemetery.
    Mrs. Fairchild is survived by her husband, and eight children, four sons and four daughters.
    The deceased was 38 years of age at the time of her death.
    The family has lived in the Forney community for many years and the death of Mrs. Fairchild was a distinct shock to the entire neighborhood.
