David Ernest Bacon

Funeral services for David Ernest Bacon were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at Boswell Auditorium in Boswell with Bro. Herbert Wharton officiating, assisted by Choctaw Nation Assistant Chief Mike Bailey. Interment was in Dill Cemetery.
Mr. Bacon died November 4, 2005, in Denison, Texas. He was 77. He was a rancher, a member of Boswell Assembly of God and a member of the Choctaw Nation.
David was born October 8, 1928 in Boswell, the son of Silas and Esther Mae (Jones) Bacon. He lived in the Boswell community all of his life. He married Clovis Dill in Idabel on April 30, 1957. David enjoyed his horses and horse-trading. He also enjoyed going to rodeos and watching his children and grandchildren riding and roping. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
SURVIVING RELATIVES: his wife; Clovis Bacon, eight sons; Davy, Kent, Doyle, Kevin, and Barry all of Boswell, Ernie of Ada, Keith of Durant, and Mike of Soper, two daughters; Lisa of Mustang, and Lana of Boswell, two brothers; Silas Bacon, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Joe Allen Bacon of Boswell, four sisters; Adeline Calhoun of San Antonio, Texas, Mary Lou Toepletz, of Midwest City, Frances Chandler of Calera, and Esther Lee Crowder of Anadarko, 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.
