    Graveside services for Betty J. Burts of Kingman, Ariz., were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2004, at Wheelock Cemetery in Millerton.
Mrs. Burts died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, in Kingman, Ariz. She was 71.
    Betty J. Burts was born September 16, 1932 in Millerton, the daughter of Richard & Daisy (Gilmore) Hester. She married James H. Burts on April 6, 1974 in Houston and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1997. She had moved to Hugo in 1981 from Pasadena, Texas and lived there until moving to Valliant in 1996. About two years ago she moved to Arizona to be near family. She enjoyed her family around her, her pets, and loved to read and crochet. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
    Surviving relatives: Son, Larry Strawn of Arizona; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew.
    Services are under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home, Hugo.
