Died at Sawyer

John Edwards, 62 years of age, died Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock of dropsy, after a lingering illness. For a long time he had been proprietor of the only hotel in Sawyer and was well known throughout the county. The burial took place at Burgoyne cemetery near Hugo, Monday about noon. Mr. Eli Sheets officiating by request of Mr. Edwards. Besides his aged wife he leaves three children, two daughters and a son, one of his daughters, Mrs Chaffin, residing in Sawyer, the other in Texas. He was a devout member of the Methodist church.
