    Funeral services for L.V. Burnell Thompson of Compton, Calif., formerly of Sawyer, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rogan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Starks officiating. Interment was in Box Spring Cemetery.
    Thompson died January 1, 2005, in Compton, Calif., at age 69.Surviving relatives: Three brothers, James Thompson of Sawyer, Henry B. Thompson of Kansas City, Kan., Homer Thompson of Oklahoma City; five sisters, Ruby Jackson, Ethel McCarty, Evelyn Proctor and Doretha Starks, all of Oklahoma City, Alma Harrell of Bonner Spring, Kan.; several nieces and nephews.
