Ada Jean Adams

Services for Ada Jean Adams were Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Fort Towson school gymnasium. She died Monday, July 16, 2004 in Fort Towson. She was 77.
Ada Eugenia Adams was born to Charles and Zilla Ashmore on November 1, 1926 in Okemah, Okla. She received her bachelors degree in elementary education and her masters degree in reading. She loved teaching her students at Rattan and Fort Towson.
After retirement, she enjoyed family, friends, traveling and decorating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, daughter, Kathy, brother Alan Wayne, sister Melba Jane and her parents.
Ada Jean is survived by her sister Charlene Goodman and husband Lawrence of Oklahoma City, Okla., her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Frieda Emberton, Randall and Reba Wooley, Kenneth and Novalene Adams, Walt and Vada Boyle, Hosey and Wanda Hern, Dick and Linda Taylor; nieces and nephews include: Deborah Boatright of Crescent, Okla., Laura Cross of Moore, Okla., Gayle Wilkerson of Calif., Chuck Ashmore, Harrah, Okla., Paula Barnes, Okmulgee, Okla., Rusty Wooley, Okmulgee, Okla., Dale Adams, Port Orchard, Wa., Mike Hearn, Norman, Okla., Ann Taylor, Paris, France, and Katherine Taylor, Dallas, Texas.
She has many cousins, great nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly.
Rev. Bob Thornburgh, Paul Wheelus and Sam Pound officiated and burial was in Sobol Cemetery under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo.
