Lester Earwood Dies in Hospital
Services at Oak Grove Bapt. Church

     Lester Harris Earwood, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Earwood of the Oak Grove community, died in Dr. Johnson’s hospital at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday following an illness of a week. He underwent an emergency operation for appendicitis last week and never rallied.

     Funeral services were set for 3 p.m. today in the Oak Grove Baptist church with the Rev. Malcolm McFarland officiating, assisted by H.W. Young. Interment was to be in Shoat Springs cemetery. The Campbell funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

     Surviving in addition to the parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Earwood, is one sister, Mrs. Florence Cody, of Dallas, Texas and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. McClanahan of Hugo.

     Bearers are: Prince Lee Berryhill, Raymond Van, J.A. Cobb Jr., Joe Testament, Lawrence McFarland and Ezra Lee McFarland.
