Kenneth Joe Brewer

Funeral services for Kenneth Joe Brewer of Hugo will be held at 2 p.m. November 3, 2005, at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Brewer died October 29, 2005, in Denison, Texas. He was 71. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a 1st Class Petty Officer, dealing with airplane parts. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He was born June 26, 1934 in Enloe, Texas, the son of Hayden J. Brewer and Annie Lee (Sanders) Brewer and had lived in Hugo since 1980. Mr. Brewer is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Maurine McCown and Pauline Spills, and two brothers: James L. Brewer and Coy Brewer. He gave of himself to help others without complaint.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: four brothers, Roy Brewer of Des Moines, Wash., Jerry Don Brewer of Portland, Ore., and Hayden J. Brewer, Jr. of Abernathy, Texas, three sisters, Peggy Smith of LaGrande, Ore., Ann Cahill of Denison, Texas, and Charlene Grover of Sweet Home, Ore., numerous nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday November 2, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
