Van A. “Jack” Easley

Funeral services for Van A. “Jack” Easley of Hugo were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, with Rev. Roger Rounsaville officiating. Interment was in Shoat Springs Cemetery in Hugo. Mr. Easley died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 in Muskogee. He was 82.Van A. “Jack” Easley was born on September 11, 1923 in Ft. Towson to Joe and Addie (Williams) Easley. He married Dorothy Cromer in Las Cruces, N.M., on March 20, 1972. Van had lived in this area most of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith. He had served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a truck driver and will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Yucca and Herbert Easley and one sister, Louise Herrin.
Van is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; two sons, Tommy Easley of Norman and David Easley of Breckenridge, Texas; four step-sons, Billy Baldwin and Joseph Baldwin, both of Davenport, David Baldwin of Friona, Texas, and Robert Baldwin of Wellston; one daughter, Eva Rounsaville of Tishomingo; three step-daughters, Cathy Reese of Clovis, N.M., Judy Powell of Alabama and Beverly Johnson of Frogville; one brother, James Easley of Clovis, N.M.; one sister, Vera Arnold of Roswell, N.M.; seven grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-great-grandchildren.
