John Edge

John Edge, a resident of Soper, died Friday in the McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas.

He was 84.

Edge was a retired farmer and rancher.

He was born Feb 17, 1904 in Oklahoma, the sonof William Clark and Carie Donia (Box) Edge. He had been a resident of this area all of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Edge of Soper.

he is also survived by four sons: Johnny D. Edge of Davis, Okla.; Desmond Snow of Dallas; Ben Snow of Rowlett, Texas; and Tommy Snow of Paris, Texas.

Other survivors include two daughters, Betty Brown of Soper and Marion Elwell of Sterling, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildre; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held today at 2 p.m. in the Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Hogue officiated.

Burial was in the Restland Cemetery.

The Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo was in charge of arrangements.
