Andrew J. Gayler Rites Held At Spencerville Today
Funeral services for Andrew J. Gayler of Apple were held this afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Community Church in Spencerville with Bro. Jim Lick of the Hugo Church of God officiating and interment in the Spencerville cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Mr. Gayler passed away at his home in Apple on Thursday after a long period of illness. He was a retired farmer, having lived in the Apple community for the past nineteen years. He was born on February 17, 1872, in Tennessee, thus being 77 years old at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louie Gayler of the home address, and the following children: Mrs. Hattie Hurst, John Gayler, Mrs. Myrtle Hobbs, Mrs. Ellie Johnson, William Gayler and Jack Gayler, in addition to one brother, Charley Gayler of Coalgate, and twenty-five grandchildren.
The News joins with his many friends in expressing condolence to the relatives of the deceased.
