Claude Harless Dies in Okla. City

Claude Harless, longtime resident of the Soper community, died this morning shortly before 8:00 o’clock in the University Hospital at Oklahoma City. Coffey Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. More details will be carried in Tuesday’s edition of the Daily News.

Claude Harless Rites Are Held in Soper This Afternoon

Funeral services for Claude Harless of Soper were held this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Soper with Rev. Covington officiating and interment in the Soper cemetary [sic]. Coffey Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Harless passed away on Monday at 8 p.m. at the University Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born on July 6, 1902 in Marietta, thus being 47 years old at the time of his death.

He survived [sic] by his wife Mrs. Leona Harless, Soper and the children, Dorthia, James, Glenda Sue, and Johnny, all of Soper, in addition to eight brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers for the funeral were Roy Deupree, John Reynolds, Joe Bradshaw, John Mock, Bobby Joe Marshall, Nuble Butler, Scott Ferguson and Sam Holt.

The News joins his many friends in expressing condolence to the relatives of the deceased.
