Coke Makerney Dies Tuesday At Sawyer
Coke Makerney Sr., 60, of Star route Sawyer died Tuesday night at his home. He had lived in the community 61 years.
Services are pending with Coffey Funeral Home.
Mr. Makerney was born March 11, 1907, in Athens, Tex. and was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie; four sons, Coke, Jr., and Carlton of Hugo, and Bryan and Joe of Sawyer; a daughter, Mrs. Patsy Perry of Fort Towson; two brothers, Henry of Sawyer and Buck of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Abshire of Midwest City and Mrs. Oneta Littleton of Oklahoma City; and nine grandchildren.

Services Set Saturday For Coke Makerney
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. for Coke Makerney Sr., 60, of Star route Sawyer who died Tuesday.
The rites will be in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel, with the burial in Mount Olivet cemetery.
Makerney was a retired truck driver.
