Services for Billie Jean Chrisman will be held Thursday, July 3, 2003 at the Fort Towson Methodist Church.

Billie Jean Chrisman died Monday, June 30, 2003 in Hugo, Okla. She was 73 years old.

Billie Jean Chrisman was born on July 20, 1929 in Clarksville, Texas to Frank and Mary Mitchell Gasway. She married Joe Chrisman in DeQueen, Ark. on May 11, 1947. She had lived in Fort Towson most of her life.

Billie was a member of the Ft. Towson Methodist Church. She was a housewife, substitute teacher and she owned and operated the Sportsman Corner Hardware Store, with her husband, Joe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Chrisman; one son, Donnie Chrisman of Fort Towson; one daughter, Alicia Brents and her husband, Donnie, of Fort Towson; one sister, Margie Herndon of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandchildren, Scott and Casey Brents; and one great-grandson, Cole Brents.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Oscar Wilkie officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Towson Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
