EASTERWOOD, IRENE MOZELLE (RIDENOUR)

Irene Mozelle (Ridenour) Easterwood, 65, resident of Fort Towson, OK, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2001 in Paris, Texas.

Irene was born December 29, 1935 in Talihina, OK to Luther Bruce Ridenour and Ida Mae (Milligan) Ridenour. She married James E. Easterwood, November 5, 1955 in Dallas, TX. Irene was a homemaker and had lived in the Fort Towson community most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Towson, OK. Irene loved to garden and raise fruit trees. Her greatest love was watching her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James E. Easterwood in September 1993, one sister, Elsie Priddy and two grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include three sons, James Easterwood and Steve Easterwood, both of Fort Towson, OK, Roy Gene Easterwood of Stringtown, OK; four daughters, Linda Tyler of Millerton, OK, Jean Batson and Deborah Cody, both of Fort Towson, OK and Gail Beardsley of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Roy Ridenour of Hugo, OK and Lexton Ridenour of Broken Bow, OK; five sisters, Daisy Hawthorne and Bessie Meredith, both of Fort Towson, OK, Susie Harris of Harris, OK, Lucy Fowler of Bakersfield , CA and Mamie Greenwalt of Myrtle Creek, OR; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grand children.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 22, 2001 from 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel, Hugo, OK.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fort Towson First Baptist Church. Reverend Bennie Hammonds will be officiating. Interment will be in Fort Towson Cemetery.
