James E. Easterwood, 69, of Fort Towson, OK, died Wednesday, September 1, 1993 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 3, 1993 at Fort Towson Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Pope officiating. Burial will be in Fort Towson Cemetery by Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.

Mr. Easterwood was born June 8, 1924, in Fort Towson, a son of James Albert and Nora Dunn Easterwood. He married Irene Ridenour, November 5, 1955.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, James Edward Easterwood, Jr. of Fort Towson, OK, Roy Gene Easterwood of Stringtown, OK and Steve Easterwood of Fort Towson, OK; four daughters, Gail Montgomery of Sherman, TX, Linda Ruth Tyler of Millerton, OK, Jean Davis and Deborah Wheeler, both of Fort Towson, OK; one brother, Billy Easterwood of Fort Towson, OK; three sisters, Helen Latham of Fort Worth, TX, Alphia Adams of Carthage, TX and Rosie Lang of Fort Towson, OK; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
