HAISLIP, TRAVIS JAMES “TJ”

Travis James “TJ” Haislip, 57, Cynthiana, Ky., former Wallace County resident, died Friday, July 1, 2005.

He was born Aug. 25, 1947, in Hugo, Okla., to Travis Jack and Myrtle “Bobby” (Mahieu) Haislip. He graduated from Wallace County High School, Sharon Springs.

He trained race horses for several years before working in construction in Lexington, Ky.

Survivors include his mother, Wallace; a son, Travis Haislip, San Diego; two daughters, Lorie Reed, Salina, and Jodi Chaput, Eden Prairie, Minn.; a brother, Gary Haislip, Wallace; his companion, Carolyn Pate, Harrison County, Ky.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Mountain time today at Wallace Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Hospice Services of Wallace County in care of Koons Funeral Home, Goodland.
