HAMILTON, THOMAS, JR.

BORN: JANUARY 19, 1931 DIED: OCTOBER 12, 2003
Thomas Hamilton Jr., 72, of Reno, formerly of Mesquite, passed away at Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into its care.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom with Dr. Burt Palmer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the funeral home.
The son of Thomas Sr. and Pearl Luttrell Hamilton, he was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Fort Towson, Okla. He married Sue Redus on Oct. 14, 1954, at the Capitol Street Methodist Church in Jackson, Miss.
He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a frugal individual and had a knack for making money by accident. He was proud of his military career and was willing to try anything once.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; one sister, Alice Starnes of Dallas; one brother-in-law, Gerald Redus and wife, Peggy; two sisters-in-law, Jo Parham and Mary “Totsy” O’Connor; one aunt, Inez Luttrell; two nephews, Kerry Starnes and wife, Jennifer and Jerry Starnes; and one niece, Sharon Kay Jackson and husband, Skip.
