BORN: APRIL 16, 1919 DIED: DECEMBER 21, 2001
Services for Joel Clifford Johnson, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Bill Freeman officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born April 16, 1919, at Fort Towson, Okla., to Wylie and Alma Bournes Johnson, he died Dec. 21, 2001, in Carson City, Nev.
His first wife, Lillie Mae Hattensty and an infant son preceded him in death in 1953.
He and Blanche Oliver were married in 1962. She died in 1994.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, an adopted son, three grandsons, a great-grandson, two stepsons, three brothers and a sister.He is survived by his daughters, LaDonna Hardeman of Prescott, Ariz., Jeanette Ricker of Carson City, Dianna Johnson of Wasilla, Alaska, and Rebecca Pugeda of Chula Vista, Calif.; an adopted daughter, Sara Bristow of Chula Vista; an adopted son, Walter Johnson of El Cajon, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Delores Smith of Brandon, Ore., and Judy House of Kingswood, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Viola Slover of Modesto, Calif., and Audra Shipp of Littlefield, Texas.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
