GRANGEVILLE: Oda O. Key, 92 of Grangeville passed away Saturday, August 28th at Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville.

Oda was born January 23, 1912 at Hugo, Oklahoma a son of Sam and Hettie Stennet Key. He attended schools in Oklahoma. He married Thedis Morrow on May 1, 1937 at Clebit, Oklahoma. They moved to Washington and Oregon and then to Grangeville in 1952. He and his brother operated a saw mill before he entered into the logging business, logging for himself and local saw mills. He retired in 1974. Mrs. Key passed away in 1981.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors.

He is survived by his sons, William Key, Kenneth Key, Michael Key and Jerry Key all of Grangeville, a son Tony Key of St. Maries, his daughters, Betty Altman of New Hampshire, Patricia Embry of Mt. Home, Idaho and Sherry Pwett of Portland, OR. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, two sons Oda Jr. and Leo passed away earlier.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 2, at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Private family burial will follow the services at Prairie View Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Blackmer Funeral Home.
