MRS. S.J. ORTON DEAD

Mrs. Sarah Jane (Grandma) Orton, 69 years of age, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Orton here in town Sunday and was buried in the Doakesville Cemetery Monday. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. D.A. McReynolds, formerly pastor of the Baptist Church of this city.

Grandma Orton was born in the state of Ohio, moving to and marrying in the state of Arkansas. She had been a resident of this place for 12 years. She was a loyal member of the Baptist Church, a consistent Christian woman and loved by all who knew her.

The deceased had been in very ill health for a long time and her going was not unexpected.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Lewis Orton of this place and Woody Orton of Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Maud Holderbaum and Mrs. T.E. Hopson of Little Rock.
