DIED: MARCH 27, 1981

John F. Ott, 70, of Flippin, died Thursday of last week at Marion County Hospital.

A lifetime resident of Marion County, he was retired from a feed store operation which he owned. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church.

Born March 24, 1910 in Marion County, he was the son of the late Doc Ott and Jane Hollaway Ott.

He and the former Edith Smothers were married Jan. 23, 1974.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Taney Franks, in 1973.

Survivors include his wife of Flippin; two sons, Joe Ott of Knob Noster, Mo., and Marion "Dude" Ott of Chilhowee, Mo.; one step son, Raymond Williams of Flippin; seven brothers, Romie Ott of Weleetka, Okla., Troy Ott of Hugo, Okla., Roy Ott of Hugo, Jessie Ott of Ridge Crest, Calif., Joy Ott of Shafter, Calif., Ralph Ott of Tacoma, Wash., and Archie Ott of Tacoma; two sister, Lillian Mears of Yakima, Wash., and Virginia Ott of Weleetka; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Yellville Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Gregory and Rev. Howard Jefferson officiating.

Pallbearers included Faye Jefferson, Roscoe Jefferson, Kyle Jefferson, Coy Martin, Hugh Parnell and Boyd Williams.

Arrangements were handled by Burns Funeral Home of Yellville. .
