The Rev. Mary Day Parker, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Newcastle.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002 at the Assembly of God Church in Blanchard. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 at Fort Towson Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
She was born Dec. 15, 1910, in Bagwell, to Ganzy A. and Miltilda Martin Little. She was a licensed preacher for 52 years and was proud of her 50-year pin from the Assembly of God District Counsel.
Survivors are her brothers and a sister, Thurman L. Little, Homer L. Little, Thomas M. Little, Austin E. Little, and Carrie Little McKinley; a special cousin Edith A. George; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Wallace* and J.D. Parker; sons, Finnice Wallace,* and Raymond Wallace; parents; stepsons, Preston A. Parker, James E. Parker, and Myrtis N. Parker; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Lesley C. Little, Franklin Little, Lorene Little, William W. Little, Virgil L. Little, Haskell W. Little, James Jr. Little and Leon Little.
