Carroll B. Ray Sr., 96, a retired Baptist Minister, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 in Fort Worth.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 29 at the First Baptist Church of Burleson. Burial was at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth.

Carroll B. Ray Sr. was born November 24, 1907 in Swink, Oklahoma, to Charles A. and Zadie Wise Ray. He married Maxine Price on November 13, 1932 in Palacios. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Burleson and spent 71 years of service to the King.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Maxine Ray of Burleson; sons, Carroll B. Ray, Jr. and wife, Joyce, of Fort Worth, Robert Price Ray and wife, Sandra, of Salem, Arkansas; daughters, Ann Ray Spivey and husband, Ed, of Allen; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mountain Valley Funeral Home of Burleson handled the arrangements.
