Norman G. Rhodes, 62, of Midland, Ark. died Tuesday, January, 8, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital.

He was a retired supervisor of plant operations at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, a Charter Member of the Oklahoma Association of Hospital Engineers, and in the Who's Who of Hospital Engineers, a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Hackett, Ark.

Mr. Rhodes received his second birth in Christ in 1959 at the age of 20 years.

He attended elementary school at Hopewell Community, Okla., secondary education at Kenefic High School in Kenefic, Okla., attended College at Murray State College, Tishamingo, Okla. where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Rhodes of the home; one daughter, Debra and husband, William Bartlett of Midland, Ark.; one granddaughter, Heather Bartlett of Midland, Ark.; three sisters, Wilma Owens and Linda Miller both of Coleman, Okla., Benvel Johnson of Caney, Okla.; three brothers, Melvin J. Rhodes of Hugo, Okla., Sam Rhodes of Caney, Okla. and Cletus Rhodes of Durham, Okla.

Funeral services were Jan. 11, 2002 at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Hackett, Ark. with burial at Mount Olive Cemetery in Midland, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

Pallbearers were Family and Friends.
