DIED: DECEMBER 15, 2002

Ruby L. Ueckert, 84, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002 at a local health care center.

She was born June 18, 1918 in Millerton, Okla. She has lived in Baytown since the early 1940s. She was a homemaker and member of Baker Road Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen R. Ueckert and parents, Ed and Rena Collins.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Box and wife Stefani, of Baytown; daughters, Jean Heffernan and husband Glynn of Baytown and Barbara Smith and husband Garland of Alba, Texas; stepson, Edward Ueckert and wife Jan of Austin; brother, Carl Collins and wife Jean of Baytown; grandchildren, Richard and Michele Box, Michael and Shelly Box, Angela and Kent Swart, Tony and Julie Heffner, Joey and Mary Lee Smith, Lorie and David Armstrong and 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and devoted friend and caregiver, Loreene Debruhl.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Dec. 17, 2002 at Navarre Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Rose officiating. Interment will follow at White Cemetery.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Services are under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown.
