Jess Fisher Kills Self

    Jess Fisher, aged about 36 years, died at his home on the Jeter place in the Atlas community, Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 o’clock. He is said to have shot himself with a Winchester, the bullet entering the left breast and ranging downward. Death was instantaneous.

    Mr. Fisher and family had been living in the Atlas community about a year, coming from Grant. The family had a great deal of sickness the past several weeks, four members of his family being down with typhoid fever now. Mr. Fisher had been complaining of feeling ill the past week and was despondent.

    Mr. Fisher is survived by his parents and several brothers. Burial was had at Grant Wednesday. – The Soper Democrat.
