Eva Lewis Reed
Mrs. Bert Reed Dies in Durant

Many people in Boswell were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Bert Reed which occurred in the Durant Sanitarium last Monday, April 18th. Mrs. Reed suffered death from a case of influenza.
Mrs. Reed moved to Boswell in 1910 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Lewis. In 1913 Miss Eva Lewis became the wife of Bert Reed. To this union was born one son, Jerald Bert. The family resided in Boswell until about two years ago when Mr. Reed accepted employment with Joe Mitchell Co., and moved to Durant.
Mrs. Reed was born in Arkansas in 1892. She was an active member of the Baptist Church here.
Funeral services were held at the first Baptist Church in Durant, with Dr. Miller conducting, after which interment was made in a Durant cemetery.
Those attending the funeral from Boswell were: Mesdames L.R. Chambers, J.A. Armstrong, Omer Sanders, J.F. Cross, Ira Pierce, Harry Pierce, W.A. Henry, J.D. Collins, Dud Self, W.L. and B.E. Pitts, Irene Dibble and Edward Spear.
