Floyd Hamill

Funeral services for Floyd Hamill of Hugo will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004, at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Burgie Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Grant Cemetery, Grant, Okla.
Mr. Hamill died November 1, 2004, at his home. He was 87. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church - Hugo.
He was born August 17, 1917 in Wright City, the son of William Greer Hamill and Selina Elizabeth (Self) Hamill and had lived most of his life in Hugo. He married Anna "Blanche" Tillman on January 31, 1941 in Antlers. Floyd owned and operated Floyd's Garage in Hugo for many years. He was a good mechanic and was very talented with his hands. He loved hunting, fishing, camping on Frazier Creek and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved going on scenic drives and in his early years, he loved to dance.
Surviving relatives: His wife Blanche Hamill; two sisters, Cora Brownfield of Greenville, Texas and Clara Williams of Talihina; two brothers, J.B. Hamill of Hugo and Marion Hamill of Grant; several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at the funeral home.
