Francis Hansen

     Graveside services for Francis Hansen of Boswell were held at 10 a.m. October 29, 2004, at Restland Cemetery in Boswell with Pastor Ron McKey and Pastor Rick Austin officiating.
     Mr. Hansen died October 27, 2004, at his home. He was 67. He was a member of New Life Family Church of Boswell; veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the Airborne Rangers; member of the VFW of Woodland, Calif.
     He was born September 24, 1937 in Roscommon, Mich., and had lived for the past 11 years in Boswell. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, fishing and hunting, camping at the lake, writing children's books in his later years and spending time with his family and friends. He married Caroline (Tyrrell) Blankenship on Nov. 1, 1996 in DeQueen, Ark.
     He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joyce Lorraine Hansen; his father, Herb Hansen; a daughter, Laura Lynn Hansen; and two sisters, Dorothy Myas and Beverly Tubberville.
     Surviving relatives: His wife, Carol Hansen; one son, David Stephen Hansen of of Boswell; two daughters, Debra Moody and Dorothy Minear, both of Elverta, Calif.; his mother, Helen (Duncan) Noetzli of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Herb Hansen of Bodega Bay, Calif., and Max Hansen of Sacramento; three sisters, Virginia Minatre of Sacramento, Alice Tommes of Roscommon, Mich., and Linda Ayers of Great Falls, Mont.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
     The family received friends on Thursday, October 28, 2004, at the funeral home.
