Geneva Ida Hutchings Glaze

Geneva Ida Hutchings Glaze, formerly of Hugo, Oklahoma and a resident of Denison, Texas, departed this life on Friday November 12, 2004 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held in Sherman, Texas, at Waldo Funeral Home and burial in the West Hill Cemetery there on Nov. 18, 2004. She was born on April 4, 1919 in Choctaw County, Oklahoma, a child of Thomas Jefferson 'Clyde' Hutchings and Mattie Blanche Askew. She attended schools in the area. On October 2, 1937 she was married to Elzie Lawrence Glaze in Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1986. She is survived by her four children; Dale Glaze of Denison, Bobby Joe Glaze and wife Peggy of Oklahoma City, Rita Sue Glaze Dale and husband Lawrence of Blossom, Texas, and Elzie Dean Glaze and wife Sylvia of Austin, as well as seven grandchildren, 14 living great grand-children and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Juanita Hutchings Boone of Hugo, Okla., her sister Sue Hutchings Strickland of Bossier City, La., and a brother Noah Hutchings of Oklahoma City, Okla., as well as many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren and brothers Reghal Hutchings of Lubbock, Texas and Harold Hutchings of Eufaula, Okla.
