Charles Eden

Funeral services for Charles Eden, of Hugo, were held this afternoon at 3 p.m. in Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Eden died Saturday morning at 9:15 in Choctaw Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Eden was 95 years of age, having been born August 5, 1881 in Cassville, Mo. He had been a resident of Choctaw County since 1913, was a member of the Zion Grace Baptist Church at Oleta, and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; 3 sons, Fred Eden, of Antlers; Jack Eden of Hugo; Calvin Eden, Kalamazoo, Mich.; 5 daughters, Era Rye, of Kingston, Okla.; Gladys Sossman, May Haneline, Ann Stone and Geneva Morgan, all of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
