John A. King Died Friday
Pioneer Settler of County Buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery

John A. King, pioneer ranchman and outstanding citizen of Boswell, died at the home of Mrs. F.C. Latimer, on East Jackson street early Friday evening.
Mr. King has been in ill health for several months and only recently he was brought to Hugo from Boswell to undergo treatment in Hugo. His death was the result of organic heart disease.
Funeral services were held at the Latimer home Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Reverend Bert G. Jones officiating at the rites. Interment was made at Mount Olivet cemtery [sic].
The deceased is survived by two daughters, mesdames F.C. Latimer of this city and H.L. Anderson of Oklahoma City; two sons, Jim King of Stonewall, Oklahoma and Tom King of Okmulgee, and a twin brother, Dud King, of Boswell. His wife died several years ago.
Pallbearers were Jim King, Tom King, H.L. Anderson, T.W. Hunter, Norris King, and T.F. Williamson.
Mr. King was one of the pioneer settlers of the Boswell community. He was 78 years of age at the time of his death, having been born in 1851. He is one of the most highly respected citizens of the county and was loved and respected by all with whom he came in contact.
