Annie Frazier

Funeral services for Annie Frazier of Hugo were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Jefferson, Jr., officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Frazier died May 31, 2004, at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. She was 88. She was a member of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives: son, Carl Albert Frazier of Hugo; four daughters, Callie Boyd of Oklahoma City, Erma Frazier of Oakland, Calif.; Annie Mae Frazier & Bernice Frazier of Hugo; three sisters, Vella Mae Ervin of Dallas, Stella Alfred of Hugo, Sammie Whisenhunt of Foreman, Ark.; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ray Cheshier

Graveside services for Ray Cheshier of Hugo were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, in Restland Cemetery, Boswell, with Bro. Ron Pickard and Bro. Jon Coffman officiating. Pallbearers were Ian Major, Pat Edge, Ted Smith, Conley Edge and Steve Butler.
Mr. Cheshier died June 8, 2004, at his home. He was 71. He was a retired mechanic and truck driver and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was born March 10, 1933 in Boswell, Okla., the son of Allen B. Cheshier and Mayola (Burkett) Cheshier. He was raised in Boswell and moved to Hugo around 1958. He married Freda Knight on Sept. 17, 1958 in Hugo. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Howard Cheshier, Burk Cheshier, Chris Cheshier, and Bandy Cheshier.
Surviving relatives: His wife: Freda Cheshier; one son: Danny Ray Cheshier of Hugo; one daughter: Shelia Renee Edge of the Bluff Community; seven grandchildren: Tiffany Salyer, Lindsey Weathers, Courtney Edge, Kaleb Edge, Jenna Cheshier, Brandy Cheshier, and Ashley Cox; one great grandson: Tyler Salyer; eight sisters: Jean Butler of Granger, Wash., Lou Wilkins of Arlington, Texas, Barbara Gardner of Durant, Okla., Pat Taylor of Nocona, Texas, Judy Wach of Atlanta, Ga., Connie Ebner of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sandra Vicks of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Delores Hoover of Houston, Texas; seven brothers: Allen Cheshier of Kansas, Bobby Cheshier of Boswell, Okla., Tony Cheshier of Dallas, Texas, Larry Cheshier of Vernon, Texas, Ronnie Cheshier of Nocona, Texas, Donald Cheshier of Nocona, Texas, and Anthony Cheshier of Plano, Texas, along with many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Clarence Brents of Hugo were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Rattan Cemetery.
Mr. Brents died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. He was 72.
Clarence Brents was born March 3, 1932 in Rattan, Oklahoma, the son of Willis & Bonnie (Stevens) Brents. He worked building construction and had lived most of his life in this area. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Brents, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving relatives: daughters & sons-in-law: Phyllis & Barry Hill of Hugo, Okla., Janet Queen of Hugo, Okla.; three grandchildren: Amy Hill and Jeffery Hill, both of Hugo, Okla., Jessica Liebsch of Helena, Okla.; nephew: Donny Brents of Ft. Towson, Okla., niece: Kathy Woolsey of Valliant, Okla.

Nellie Bruno

Funeral services for Nellie Bruno of Lemon Grove, Calif., were held at 10 a.m. June 14, 2004, at Church of God in Valliant with Rev. Cotton Tidmore officiating, assisted by Bro. John Tidmore. Interment was in Valliant Cemetery.
Mrs. Bruno died June 4, 2004, in San Diego, Calif. She was 66.
She was born March 2, 1938 in Bethel, Okla., the daughter of Jasper Newton Tidmore and Mae Belle (Henson) Tidmore. She was married to Joseph C. Bruno. Mrs. Bruno was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters.
Surviving relatives: Her husband Joseph C. Bruno of Lemon Grove, Calif.; three daughters, Janet Popejoy of Lemon Grove. Calif., Pamela McKenna of San Diego, and Joddi Bruno-Echaves of San Diego; two sisters, Bonnie Currier of San Diego, and Lillian Hatcher of Valliant; 10 brothers, Elvis Tidmore of Valliant, Arvin Tidmore of National City, Calif., Wilburn Tidmore of Lubbock, Texas, W.T. Cotton Tidmore of Weatherford, Texas, Carl Tidmore of Valliant, Wesley Tidmore of Ft. Towson, Bob Tidmore of Valliant, Cecil Tidmore of Swink, Marvin Tidmore of Broken Bow, Odell Tidmore of Ft. Towson; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Mary Rankin

Funeral services for Mary Rankin of Hugo were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo with Reverend Mike Armes officiating. Interment was at Grant Cemetery in Grant.
Mrs. Rankin died Friday, June 11, 2004, in Hugo. She was 80.
Mary was born on May 11, 1924, in Weskin, Kansas to William Robert and Martha (Jewel) Wort. She married Jack Elton Lee Rankin on February 15, 1943 in California. She had lived in Hugo since 1946 and was a member of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church in Hugo. She was a homemaker, a great cook and loved to be with her grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, one son Richard Rankin and one grandson Nicholas Flowers.
Mary is survived by two sons, Randy Rankin & wife Janece of Ft. Towson and Rusty Rankin & wife Christie of Ft. Towson; two daughters, Robbie Parker & husband Garry of Hugo and Rocky Young & husband Bob of Hugo; two sisters, Martha Ammerman of Martinez, Calif., and Rosalie Martin of Rifle, Colo.; ten grandchildren, Dana Ward & Allen Dale Rankin, Mike Rankin, Shelly Bailey, Pepper Andrews, Talon Young, Denise Hack, Angie Parker, Laurie Pillow and Vikki Rankin; eighteen great-grandchildren, Tawnee & Tanner Ward, Allison Rankin, Shelby, Taylor & Jessie Weathers, Kylie & Chase Bailey, Kolton, Samantha & Hunter Hack, Summer Andrews, Shane & Cody Rankin, Koby Jackson, Matt Hensley, Emilee Ward and Kyler Tutt; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Bobby Joe Clinton of Hugo will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.
Mr. Clinton died June 15, 2004, in Paris, Texas. He was 61 and of the Baptist faith.
He was born February 12, 1943 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Edward Clinton and Mary (Turner) Clinton and had lived all of his life in the Hugo area. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Jackie Clinton and Edward Eugene Clinton.
Surviving relatives: two sons, Danny Clinton of Arlington, Texas, and Bobby Ray Clinton of Hugo; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special niece Dawna Ward of Hugo and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the funeral home.
