Peerless E. “Perk” Jefferson

Peerless E. “Perk” Jefferson, age 80, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, October 10, 2005.He was born in Hugo to Wallace and Rosa Jefferson on July 10, 1925. He is survived by his wife, Nita Beth Jefferson; son, Charles Jefferson; daughters, Brenda Kelley and husband, Tommy, Diane Gretencord and husband David; grandchildren, Randy Robertson, Tom Kelley, Bill Kelley, Clark Jefferson, Jeremy Gretencord, Sunny Marsh; great-grandchildren, Makayla Jefferson and Lexi Banks; sisters, Mary Frances Jefferson Yeary, Colleen Jefferson Butcher; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other family members and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Palmer Stephens. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 13, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Reeves of Rural Shade Baptist Church conducted the service with interment at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery with pallbearers, Larry Allen, Ed Briggs, Wesley Celestine, Heron Espinoza, Russell Parsons and Lito Rodriguez.
