Nancy H. (Carpenter) Baker

Nancy H. (Carpenter) Baker, of Coffeyville, Kansas, formerly of Hugo, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2005 in Tulsa at the age of 67. She was born on April 7, 1938 in Hugo to Sidney Wayne and Edith Virginia (Slaton) Carpenter. She had lived in this community for 22 years before moving to Ardmore and eventually to Coffeyville, Kansas and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ardmore. She graduated from Hugo High School in 1956, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1961 with a degree in Pharmacy. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Rainbow’s, and Beta Sigma Phi. She will truly be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Wayne and Edith Virginia Carpenter.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Marcus W. Baker of South Coffeyville, Okla. and Michael G. Baker of Ada; one daughter Sidna V. Chambers of Oklahoma City; and her grandchildren, Benton and Claire Baker of South Coffeyville, Okla., Morgan, Matison and Mason Williams of Oklahoma City, and Makensey Chambers of Oklahoma City.
Graveside services for Nancy H. (Carpenter) Baker will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in Grant Cemetery with Reverend Kay Buchanan officiating.
