Doug Satterfield

Funeral services for Doug Satterfield of Fort Towson and a longtime resident of Hugo, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2005 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo with Bro. Mutt Wallace officiating. Interment was in Fort Towson Cemetery.

Mr. Satterfield died December 28, 2005, at his home in Fort Towson. He was 84. He was a Rancher, insurance salesman for Farm Bureau, and Real Estate Broker. He served in the U S Air Force as crew chief on the Chattanooga Bell 51-R, he was a member of the 409 Bomb Group Assoc. and the 643rd Squadron.

Doug was born January 16, 1921 in Hugo, the son of Roy and Flora (Bearden) Satterfield. He lived in the Hugo community all of his life. He graduated from Hugo High School in 1939. Doug married Lorene Helton March 4, 2003 in Hugo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: Wife; Lorene Satterfield of Fort Towson, three step daughters; Peggy Maeger of Fort Towson, Pat Dickson of Norman, and Sherry Ferguson of Panama City, Fla., one step son; Raymond Trotter of Perryville, Ark., one brother; Floyd Satterfield of Amarillo, Texas, 10 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.

The family received friends Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the funeral home.
