Funeral services for Wayland Satterfield were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Sunray, Texas, with Rev. Lonnie Satterfield officiating, assisted by Rev. David Purl. Burial was in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray, Texas.

Mr. Satterfield died Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Dumas, Texas. He was 77.Wayland Satterfield was born November 5, 1928 in Atoka County. He was a resident of Sunray, Texas, since 1953.Surviving relatives: Wife, Sue Satterfield of the home; two daughters, Sharon Reed of Odessa, Texas, Pat Huckaby of Tatum, New Mexico; two sons, Darall Satterfield of Dumas, Texas, Greg Satterfield of Sunray, Texas; two brothers, Buck Satterfield of Antlers, Billy Joe Satterfield of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Janice Hendricks of Antlers.
