Michael “‘Mike”‘ Patrick Gallagher

Funeral services for Michael “‘Mike”‘ Patrick Gallagher of Hugo were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Heaven’s Harvest Church of God in Hugo with Bro. Charles Green officiating, assisted by Father Joseph Chirayath. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

Mr. Gallagher died February 26, 2006 in Paris, Texas. He was 62. He was Maintenance Supervisor at the Choctaw Casino in Grant. He was of the Catholic faith.

Mike was born September 14, 1943 in Appleton, Minn. and had lived in Hugo for over 50 years. He was a former Hugo City Council member and was involved in many community activities. He married Vicki Owen December 19, 1986 in Paris, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; James Patrick Gallagher, and Bucky Lee Gallagher, and three sisters; Veronica Louise Gallagher Chamblerlain, Mary “‘Tiny”‘ Gallagher Cuttin, and Mary Elizabeth “‘Betty”‘ Pinney.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: His wife; Vickie; two sons, Smith Gallagher and his wife Melissa of Sawyer, and Mark Hammons and his wife Noel of Hugo, his mother-in-law; Billie Owen of Hugo, five sisters; Seldra Marie “‘Sally”‘ Gallagher, Margaret “‘Mugsy”‘ Gallagher, Pearl Roselea “‘Perky”‘ Gallagher, Kay Frances Gallagher, Patricia Ann Gallagher Morsani, two grandchildren; Evan Travis Hammons, and Patrick Theil Hammons along with many other relatives and friends.

The family received friends Tuesday February 28, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
