A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Goodsprings Presbyterian Church, Boswell, for the Rev. Simon D. Belvin, 91, who died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, in Hugo. The Rev. Ross Kirven will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Goodsprings Cemetery under the direction of Miller and Miller Funeral Home, Boswell.

The Rev. Simon D. Belvin, 91, of Boswell, Oklahoma passed away August 27, 2003 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was born June 4, 1912 in Boswell, the son of Soloman Belvin and Virgie (Frazier) Belvin.

He lived all his life in the Boswell area. A minister of the Gospel, he was a member of Goodsprings Presbyterian Church, Boswell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Belvin on September 28, 1995; son, Ernie Belvin; brother, Steven Belvin, and sister, Lillie Pierce.

Survivors include one son, Danny Belvin of Boswell; one daughter, Teresa Jacob of Boswell; one sister, Sarah Belvin of Boswell; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
